The federal government has been urged to consider and support the music industry for economic development as soon as possible.<\/p>\n

Mr. Chinedu Okoro, an Icon of Music Records, specifically urged President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to consider the music industry as a means of empowering Nigeria’s talented youths.<\/p>\n

He did, however, request that the President<\/a> fund the music industry in order to keep unemployed youths off the streets.<\/p>\n

The global music industry, he claims, has become a driver of employment, economic growth, innovation, and social cohesion.<\/p>\n

He said;<\/strong><\/p>\n

Nigeria\u2019s music industry contributes significantly, offering legitimate employment to people, thereby making it the second largest employer of labour in Nigeria.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Mr. Okoro is in support of the removal of fuel subsidy.<\/p>\n

He, however, advised that the money from the subsidy should be channeled into meaningful projects across the country.<\/p>\n

Also known as \u201cLarry Popo\u201d, Mr. Okoro said, \u201cIcon Music Records has been a dream of my life, the idea was conceived in 2005.<\/p>\n

Today, it has become an international record label licensed to promote young artists from across the african continent.<\/p>\n

The label is dynamically set up to dish out back to back hits from some of the best artists in the industry.<\/p>\n

Icon Music Records is registered in the UK as well as Nigeria. We pay attention to the fact that we are a multi ethnic society, culturally powered by music enjoyed from our rich and melodious culture. Music as universal tool has created so much entertainment to people all over, from all facet of life, and our record label has been structured to be a part of discovering that through music, a lot can be achieved with the youths and music.<\/p>\n

Currently under our wings are some of the most amazing and gifted artists. We are proud to have them and more in subsequent time. We are here to give that oppurtunity to as many as are ready to take over the world through music.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
