A chieftain of the New Nigeria Peoples Party, NNPP, Buba Galadima, has called on President Bola Tinubu to fire the National Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, Mahmood Yakubu.<\/p>\n
Galadima made the call during an interview with Channels Television on Wednesday.<\/p>\n
Galadima said Yakubu colluded with some politicians to thwart the will of Nigerians during the last presidential election.<\/p>\n
He noted that the suspended governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN, Godwin Emefiele, did not commit anywhere near the crimes Yakubu committed before he was given the marching order. <\/p>\n
He stressed that the INEC boss committed more crimes than Emefiele.<\/p>\n
According to Galadima: \u201cThe INEC chairman must go, what he did is not up to what Godwin Emefiele did.<\/p>\n
\u201cHe colluded with some people to subvert the will of Nigerians. He committed the greatest crime anybody will commit.\u201d<\/p>\n
Yakubu was accused of compromising the 2023 presidential election.<\/p>\n
Some political stakeholders had accused the INEC chairman of manipulating the 2023 presidential election in favour of Tinubu.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
