The wife and the son of the head of Magamin Kano village in Bauchi state<\/a>, Alhaji Bashir Abubakar, have been abducted. <\/p>\n

They were abducted during an attack on the village in Ningi Local Government Area of the state by gunmen on Tuesday. <\/p>\n

Locals said that Abubakar was the main target of the gunmen who went straight for his residence but he escaped.<\/p>\n

The gunmen, armed to the teeth with sophisticated weapons, according to sources, shot and killed one person.<\/p>\n

Another resident was shot by the gunmen on his thigh and was taken to Ningi General Hospital, where he is currently receiving treatment.<\/p>\n

It’s gathered that the gunmen headed towards the Ningi forest after operating in the village for many hours and went away with the wife and the son of the village head.<\/p>\n

Monday\u2019s incident is the latest to the spate of attacks and kidnappings in Ningi LGA, where insecurity has been giving residents a serious concern. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
