Former Kaduna Central Senator, Shehu Sani, has admonished President Bola Ahmed Tinubu not to hand over savings from subsidy removal on petrol with governors. <\/p>\n

He advised Tinubu to use the money to revamp the country’s struggling railway sector by ensuring that every state of the Federation is linked to railways and connected to a dual carriageway. <\/p>\n

Shehu Sani<\/a> gave the advice on Thursday while fielding questions from Journalists at his residence in Kaduna.<\/p>\n

Sani said he’s totally in support of the removal of fuel subsidy, noting that there was a need to tell Nigerians what the fund was being used for. <\/p>\n

He said the fuel subsidy funds could be used to build roads, educational and, health sectors so that every Nigerian can benefit from it.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think that government should not pay any individual subsidy funds but use the resources for things we can see and benefit from,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

He added that there was a dramatic and revolutionary change in the oil sector under the administration of Mele Kyari where oil is been discovered and exploited in the North, adding that oil theft in the Niger Delta has also drastically reduced.<\/p>\n

Shehu Sani also hailed Tinubu for the sacking and appointments of service chiefs.<\/p>\n

He said the appointment of the Chief of Defense Staff, Secretary General of the Federation, and the National Security Advisers, saying all of them are square peck in a square hole.<\/p>\n

\u201cTerrorists in the last eight years, they\u2019ve turned regions in a part of Nigeria into a killing hub, adding elements of Iswap and Bandits are still holding territories to ransom killing and kidnapping innocent Nigerians.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe Government of President Mohamadu Buhari has spent $20 million in the name of security and defense and has nothing to show for it,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

He maintained that the present service Chiefs have no excuse but to protect Citizens and the territorial integrity of Nigeria.<\/p>\n

\u201cOur country must be salvaged and put on track for sustainable development and peaceful coexistence of our people,\u201d he said<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
