{"id":277133,"date":"2023-06-30T05:29:38","date_gmt":"2023-06-30T04:29:38","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/news\/?p=277133"},"modified":"2023-06-30T05:29:38","modified_gmt":"2023-06-30T04:29:38","slug":"first-transshipment-vessel-berths-at-lekki-port","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/news\/2023\/06\/30\/first-transshipment-vessel-berths-at-lekki-port\/","title":{"rendered":"First transshipment vessel berths at Lekki port"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Lekki Deep Seaport in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/news\/2023\/06\/28\/lagos-tribunal-waec-official-tampering-with-evidence-against-sanwo-olu-jandor\/\">Lagos state<\/a> has received its first transshipment vessel to call at the container terminal of the deep seaport.<\/p>\n<p>The management of the seaport announced the development in statement on Thursday. <\/p>\n<p>According to the statement by the port,  the vessel named Rimbaud and owned by CMA CGM shipping company arrived at the terminal on Thursday.<\/p>\n<p>The statement added that the vessel came with cargo from two of the largest container shipping lines in the world, CMA CGM and Maersk.<\/p>\n<p>According to the statement, the vessel was carrying 411 twenty-foot equivalent units of transshipment cargo and had a nominal container handling capacity of 6,900 TEUs.<\/p>\n<p>The statement read in part, \u201cThe vessel, which arrived at approximately 1.00 pm on Thursday, June 29, 2023, contains cargo from two of the largest container shipping lines in the world, CMA CGM and Maersk.
