Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of the Labour Party in the 2023 general election, has deleted a tweet wherein he addressed Bola Tinubu as Mr President.<\/p>\n

Obi is challenging the declaration of Tinubu the candidate of the All Progressive Congress as the winner of the February 25th election. <\/p>\n

Obi had said politicians asking the citizens to make sacrifices must be at the forefront of doing <\/a>so as they must be willing to let go of some of the pecks and trappings that come with the position they occupy. <\/p>\n

In a statement on his official Twitter handle, Obi condemned the 120-car convoy of the president when he returned from France.<\/p>\n

Obi, in the deleted tweet, wrote: \u201cAllegedly showing Mr President moving with about a 120-car convoy. While I have not had the opportunity of seeing the said video, my advice remains consistent \u2013 that sacrifices for a better Nigeria must start from the leaders at all levels of government.\u201d<\/p>\n

He later deleted the tweet and published a new one that substituted the \u2018120-car convoy of \u2018Mr President\u2019 with \u2018a trending motorcade video\u2019.<\/p>\n

In the new tweet, he wrote: \u201cWe can\u2019t continue to preach for the people to sacrifice without sacrificing too. The sacrifices must now start from the leaders, visibly, and measurably at all times, because the people are suffering.
