arrested<\/a> after a prospective student of the institution filed a complaint to the Director, Nursing Department of the Ministry of Health following the inability of the alleged racketeer to procure admission for him, was accused of collecting the sum of N400,000 to secure admission for the victim.<\/p>\nThe Health Ministry alongside the victim, lured the nurse to Asaba with the sum of N100,000 agreed as payment for the admission. The suspect was arrested after being recorded on tape by policemen who wore plain clothes.<\/p>\n
Delta State Commissioner for Health, Dr. Mordi Ononye who confirmed the arrest said;<\/p>\n
\u201cWe received a complaint from a prospecting student who applied and sat for the entrance examination in March this year into the School of Nursing Warri. He couldn\u2019t make the required score and gave a nurse four N400, 000 to get admitted.\u201d<\/p>\n
