{"id":287497,"date":"2023-09-06T14:24:57","date_gmt":"2023-09-06T13:24:57","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/news\/?p=287497"},"modified":"2023-09-06T14:24:57","modified_gmt":"2023-09-06T13:24:57","slug":"breaking-tribunal-rejects-eus-report-on-2023-poll-tendered-by-obi-lp","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/news\/2023\/09\/06\/breaking-tribunal-rejects-eus-report-on-2023-poll-tendered-by-obi-lp\/","title":{"rendered":"BREAKING: Tribunal Rejects EU\u2019s Report On 2023 poll Tendered By Obi, LP"},"content":{"rendered":"<ul>\n<li><strong>The court rejected the petitioners&#8217; 18088 blurred results sheets, stating they were not related to any polling units, which they failed to specify in their petition<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><b>The court ruled that petitioners lied about identifying polling units due to blurred result sheets, while a witness analyzed the same results, claiming they were sourced from INEC&#8217;s viewing platform<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr \/>\n<p>A copy of the report on the most recent presidential election produced by the European Union (EU) Election Observers Mission, submitted by Peter Obi and the Labour Party (LP), has been erased from the Presidential Election Petition Court&#8217;s (PEPC) records.<\/p>\n<p>The court ruled that the petitioners had got the document from its registry, which had been verified by its workers, who are not the owners of the original copy of the document that the EU mission generated.<\/p>\n<p>Remember that when Atiku Abubakar and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) filed their petition with the court, the real copy of the report was previously submitted.<\/p>\n<p>The court also rejected the 18088 blurred results sheets tendered by the petitioners on the grounds that they were not tied to any polling units to which the results related, which the petitioners failed to specify in their petition.<\/p>\n<p>The court held that the petitioners lied that they could not identify the polling units because the result sheets were blurred. It noted that one of the same petitioners\u2019 witnesses actually produced a report in which he analysed the same results, which he claimed to have sourced from <a href=\"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/news\/2023\/03\/23\/presidential-election-peter-obi-challenges-inec-results-in-21-states-full-list\/\">INEC\u2019s results<\/a> viewing platform.<\/p>\n<p>It further noted that having admitted that its agents signed for and collected copies of the result sheets, the petitioners cannot claim not to know the polling units affected, but merely chose not to
