The Executive Governor of Zamfara State, Bello Matawalle has stated that security operatives in the state have neutralized a gang of bandits and recovered 300 cattle from them.<\/p>\n
According to Matawalle, the bandits\u00a0had rustled a herd of over 300 cattle at Kuraje near Rijiyar Tsakar Dawa in Gusau LGA.<\/p>\n
In a series of tweets on Sunday accompanied by pictures showing recovered cattle, the governor said\u00a0a team of security operatives led by the state commissioner for security<\/a> and internal affairs carried out the recovery operation.<\/p>\n He said that the recovered cattle have been returned to the owners, while assuring residents of the commit0ment of his administration to restore peace in the state.<\/p>\n Zamfara is among the states in the northern part of the country worst-hit by the activities of bandits.<\/p>\n \u201cFoiled Banditry: A moment ago, I was informed about an operational success recorded by the Hon. commissioner for security & internal affairs,\u201d the governor said.<\/p>\n \u201cHe led a team of security forces on a joint patrol and neutralised a gang of bandits, who rustled a herd of over 300 cattle at Kuraje near Rijiyar Tsakar Dawa in Gusau LG.<\/p>\n \u201cAfter accomplishing the mission, the rustled cattle have been recovered for immediate return to their rightful owners.\u201d<\/p>\n 1\/3.
