D. Sheni, the forum welcomed this development and congratulated him on his appointment.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>The forum sees this appointment as a signal of the willingness of the administration of President Ahmed Bola Tinubu to tap into competences and experiences of Nigerians which abound all over the country, <strong>he said.<\/strong><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>The forum hoped that the Presidency would fully utilize Dr Baba-Ahmed&#8217;s extensive experience in administration and governance for the country&#8217;s benefit.<\/p>\n<p>Tinubu named Dr. Hakeem Baba-Ahmed, the spokesperson for the Northern Elders Forum, as Special Adviser on Political Matters in the office of Vice-President Kashim Shettima.<\/p>\n<p>Baba-Ahmed, the elder brother of Peter Obi, the Labour Party&#8217;s presidential candidate in the 2023 election, revealed this on Monday in a post on his X handle.<\/p>\n<p>He expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to contribute to nation-building. &#8220;It is time to make it public that I have accepted the call to serve as Special Adviser (Political) to the VP,&#8221; he tweeted.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>This is not the time for fence-sitting or criticism when you can be useful in turning the country around. I am honoured and humbled.
