The driver of the police van attributed the mistakes to brake failure. No casualty recorded,\u201d the eyewitness said.<\/p>\n<p>One of the major causes of accidents on Nigerian highways is brake failure.<\/p>\n<p>In another news, WithinNigeria reported that One Belasa Iyange, a police officer in Benue State, has been dismissed for raping a 16-year-old girl who was in detention.<\/p>\n<p>Iyange, a constable, was disengaged from the force by the police hierarchy in the State.<\/p>\n<p>The rape incident happened at the Divisional Police headquarters, Tse Agbaragba, Konshisha Local Government Area of the state.<\/p>\n<p>The constable was said to have taken the victim out of the female cell under the guise of trying to help her, took her into an office and had sexual intercourse with her against her consent.<\/p>\n<p>The underage girl was said to have reported the case to the Divisional Police Officer.
