{"id":29709,"date":"2021-05-05T03:14:55","date_gmt":"2021-05-05T02:14:55","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/news\/?p=29709"},"modified":"2021-05-05T03:14:55","modified_gmt":"2021-05-05T02:14:55","slug":"katsina-lawmaker-allegedly-distributes-expired-rice-as-ramadan-package","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/news\/2021\/05\/05\/katsina-lawmaker-allegedly-distributes-expired-rice-as-ramadan-package\/","title":{"rendered":"Katsina lawmaker allegedly distributes expired rice as Ramadan package"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The federal lawmaker representing Funtua\/Dandume Federal Constituency has allegedly distributed expired rice as Ramadan package to his constituents in Katsina.<\/p>\n<p>The lawmaker identified as honorable Mukhtar Muhammad Dandutse has been under fire for some days now especially on social media platforms for his action.<\/p>\n<p><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-29711\" src=\"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/5\/2021\/05\/kunlenet07\/2021\/05\/05\/Expired-rice-2.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"357\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/5\/2021\/05\/kunlenet07\/2021\/05\/05\/Expired-rice-2.jpg 500w, https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/5\/2021\/05\/kunlenet07\/2021\/05\/05\/Expired-rice-2-300x214.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 500px) 100vw, 500px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>According to Katsina Post, the expired <a href=\"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/news\/2021\/04\/16\/tinubu-speaks-on-the-distribution-of-bags-of-rice-in-the-north\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">rice<\/a>, packaged in a maize sack was first shared by one Yahaya Shehu who claimed to be the neighbour of the lawmaker and who also got a bag of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/news\/2021\/04\/19\/zamfara-govt-spends-n2-9bn-on-ramadan-welfare\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Ramadan<\/a> package from him.<\/p>\n<p>Shehu wrote (in Hausa) that he collected the rice as his share of the Ramadan package as a neighbour of Dandutse.
