{"id":298592,"date":"2023-11-26T09:47:22","date_gmt":"2023-11-26T08:47:22","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/news\/?p=298592"},"modified":"2023-11-26T09:47:22","modified_gmt":"2023-11-26T08:47:22","slug":"13-injured-in-lagos-ibadan-highway-crash","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/news\/2023\/11\/26\/13-injured-in-lagos-ibadan-highway-crash\/","title":{"rendered":"13 Injured In Lagos-Ibadan Highway Crash"},"content":{"rendered":"<ul>\n<li><strong>A total of 22 persons were involved in the crash, 21 male adults and one female adult.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><b>The suspected causes of the crash, were road obstruction and speeding, which she said led to loss of control.<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr \/>\n<p>Thirteen people were involved in an accident on the Lagos-Ibadan motorway, all of them had injuries of differing severity.<\/p>\n<p>The collision happened early on Sunday in the Ogun State area of Car Park C.<\/p>\n<p>The road collision was reported by the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) to DAILY POST, stating that it occurred at approximately 4:55 am.<\/p>\n<p>Florence Okpe, the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/news\/2023\/10\/08\/frsc-denies-asking-fg-permission-to-bear-arms\/\">FRSC&#8217;s Ogun State<\/a> spokeswoman, reported that the organization&#8217;s agents had moved quickly to begin rescue efforts.<\/p>\n<p>According to her, a total of 22 persons were involved in the crash, 21 male adults and one female adult.<\/p>\n<p>\u201c13 persons were injured (12 male adult and one female adult). No live was lost from the crash,\u201d Okpe said.<\/p>\n<p>She added that the crash involved three trucks with number plates: KBT205XB, KJA230Y and DUT35XE.<\/p>\n<p>It also involved a Toyota Corolla car registered as MUS793HM and a Toyota Hiace bus marked FG369-F20.<\/p>\n<p>The suspected causes of the crash, were road obstruction and speeding, which she said led to loss of control.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe injured victims were taken to Farmobis Hospital Mowe Lotto for medical attention,\u201d she stated.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, the Ogun Sector Commander of the FRSC, Anthony Uga, has advised motorists to always apply caution when on the road, urging them to also drive defensively.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A total of 22 persons were involved in the crash, 21 male adults and one female adult.
