The appellate court in Abuja had recently affirmed the removal of Kano Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf of the New Nigeria People\u2019s Party (NNPP) as ruled by the governorship elections petitions tribunal in Kano.<\/p>\n<p>The dispute arises from the concluding paragraphs on Page 67 of the CTC, which seemingly set aside the tribunal court judgment that had earlier ousted the governor. Morka addressed this issue by highlighting the importance of considering legal issues as a whole, particularly in appellate court proceedings.<\/p>\n<p>He explained, &#8220;You don\u2019t read a judgment in pieces or decide to read a paragraph in isolation. Legal issues, especially in appellate court, are resolved based on grounds.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Morka clarified that errors in documents, such as the CTC, are not uncommon, often resulting from the fast-paced nature of document preparation. However, he emphasized that the crucial aspect is the court&#8217;s acknowledgment and correction of the error to align with the judgment delivered in open court.<\/p>\n<p>He stated, &#8220;But what matters here is that the court itself has come out to say this is the judgment we read in the open court and this error we have corrected to keep it in line with the judgment that was read in open
