The opposition party contends that the state&#8217;s finances are being mismanaged, adversely affecting development and the well-being of the people.<\/p>\n<p>Addressing journalists at a press conference in Akure, Adams challenged Governor Akeredolu to provide a transparent account of the state&#8217;s finances, urging him to follow the example of his predecessors.<\/p>\n<p>In response, Commissioner for Information and Orientation, Mrs. Bamidele Olateju-Ademola, refuted the allegations, labelling them as untrue. She asserted that despite Governor Akeredolu&#8217;s health challenges, the state government maintains checks and balances in approving funds. Olateju-Ademola emphasized that no cabinet member is involved in misappropriating funds, as claimed by the PDP.<\/p>\n<p>She stated, &#8220;The government has checks and balances, especially in approving state funds.
