{"id":300283,"date":"2023-12-09T13:47:03","date_gmt":"2023-12-09T12:47:03","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/news\/?p=300283"},"modified":"2023-12-09T13:47:03","modified_gmt":"2023-12-09T12:47:03","slug":"correctional-service-promotes-5004-personnel","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/news\/2023\/12\/09\/correctional-service-promotes-5004-personnel\/","title":{"rendered":"Correctional service promotes 5,004 personnel"},"content":{"rendered":"<ul>\n<li><strong>Urged those who missed the promotion to remain steadfast as more opportunities abound in the future<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The Nigerian Correctional Service has approved the promotion of 5,004 senior officers who participated in the 2023 promotion exercise conducted by the Civil Defence, Corrections, Fire and Immigration Services Board.<\/p>\n<p>This was contained in a statement signed by the NCoS Spokesperson, Abubakar Umar, on Saturday.<\/p>\n<p>Umar said, \u201cSeven Controllers of Corrections were elevated to the rank of Assistant Controller General of Corrections while 35 Deputy Controllers of Corrections were promoted to Controller of Corrections.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOthers <a href=\"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/news\/2023\/12\/01\/fg-approves-promotion-of-32361-personnel-of-paramilitary-services\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">promoted<\/a> to new ranks include 68 Deputy Controllers of Corrections, 129 Assistant Controllers of Corrections, 426 Chief Superintendents of Corrections, 650 Superintendents of Corrections, 1,048 Deputy Superintendents of Corrections and 2,641 Assistant Superintendents of Corrections among whom are those qualified for upgrading and omitted from advancement.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The Controller General of Corrections, Haliru Nababa, admonished the newly-promoted officers to brace up for the tasks ahead, urging those who missed the promotion to remain steadfast as more opportunities abound in the future.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Urged those who missed the promotion to remain steadfast as more opportunities abound in the future The Nigerian Correctional Service has approved the promotion of 5,004 senior officers who participated in the 2023 promotion exercise conducted by the Civil Defence, Corrections, Fire and Immigration Services Board.
