{"id":300873,"date":"2023-12-14T07:08:30","date_gmt":"2023-12-14T06:08:30","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/news\/?p=300873"},"modified":"2023-12-14T07:08:30","modified_gmt":"2023-12-14T06:08:30","slug":"ogun-tenant-disappears-with-sons-of-landlord-neighbour-3-days-after-renting-apartment","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/news\/2023\/12\/14\/ogun-tenant-disappears-with-sons-of-landlord-neighbour-3-days-after-renting-apartment\/","title":{"rendered":"Ogun: Tenant disappears with sons of landlord, neighbour 3 days after renting apartment"},"content":{"rendered":"<ul>\n<li><strong>The woman was said to have disappeared with the two kids three days after she moved into the apartment<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr \/>\n<p>A yet-to-be-identified woman has reportedly abducted two minors in the Sango Ota area of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/news\/2023\/12\/12\/ogun-gov-abiodun-says-monarchs-conspiring-with-outsiders-to-steal-govt-land-plant-india-hemp\/\">Ogun State<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The abducted minors are children of her landlord and neighbour.<\/p>\n<p>The woman was said to have disappeared with the two kids three days after she moved into the apartment.<\/p>\n<p>The command\u2019s Public Relations Officer, Omolola Odutola, confirmed the incident to newsmen on Wednesday.<\/p>\n<p>Odutola disclosed that the landlord, Johnson Oshinowo, reported that a woman whom he rented his apartment to on December 7, 2023 abducted his son and another neighbour\u2019s son, who were both four years old.<\/p>\n<p>He claimed that the woman who had just spent three days at the apartment has no known identity as the landlord and the house agent did not do due diligence and background check before renting the apartment to her.<\/p>\n<p>She said, \u201cOn December 12, 2023, at about 0835hrs, a landlord informed the police that he rented a room apartment to a woman on December, 7 and on December 11, the woman abducted his son and his neighbour\u2019s son without any trace of their destination.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cImmediately the report was received, detectives swung into action and visited the scene to conduct preliminary inquiries.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cFrom the preliminary investigation, it was gathered by the detectives that the woman had only spent three days in the rented house without any known background information. It was also gathered that the landlord and house agent have no profile of the suspect.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>She disclosed further that the Commissioner of Police, CP Abiodun Alamutu, has directed a discrete investigation into the abduction to ensure that the suspect was tracked down.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe CP has directed a discrete investigation and urged operatives to intensify their efforts to track down the suspect and rescue the children,\u201d Odutola concluded.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The woman was said to have disappeared with the two kids three days after she moved into the apartment A yet-to-be-identified woman has reportedly abducted two minors in the Sango Ota area of Ogun State.
