{"id":302184,"date":"2023-12-22T11:07:26","date_gmt":"2023-12-22T10:07:26","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/news\/?p=302184"},"modified":"2023-12-22T11:07:26","modified_gmt":"2023-12-22T10:07:26","slug":"nafdac-clears-the-air-on-registration-status-of-products","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/news\/2023\/12\/22\/nafdac-clears-the-air-on-registration-status-of-products\/","title":{"rendered":"NAFDAC clears the air on registration status of products"},"content":{"rendered":"<ul>\n<li><strong>Following the circulation of some fake products in the public<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control, NAFDAC, has cleared the air about the registration status of some products circulating in the public.<\/p>\n<p>This is according to a statement signed by its Director-General, Prof Mojisola Adeyeye, and issued to newsmen in Abuja on Thursday.<\/p>\n<p>She listed the products as Cway Drinking Water, Eva Premium Table Water, Peak Full Cream Instant Milk Powder, and Golden Penny Pasta Spaghetti.<\/p>\n<p>According to her, it became imperative to clear the air following reports claiming that the agency was \u201cwatching while the manufacturers of those products flaunt expired licences\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>She said that the Director, Food Registration and Regulatory Affairs of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/news\/2023\/12\/18\/updated-nafdac-shuts-240-shops-over-fake-drugs-beverages-in-aba\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">agency<\/a> investigated the erroneous claims and found that the registration status of all the four products mentioned in \u201cthe mischievous write-up\u201d were valid.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cFor the avoidance of doubt, Cway Drinking Water, Eva Premium Table Water, Peak Full Cream Instant Milk Powder, and Golden Penny Pasta Spaghetti all have valid registration,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Following the circulation of some fake products in the public The National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control, NAFDAC, has cleared the air about the registration status of some products circulating in the public.
