{"id":3035,"date":"2021-03-06T08:45:04","date_gmt":"2021-03-06T07:45:04","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/news\/?p=3035"},"modified":"2021-03-06T08:45:04","modified_gmt":"2021-03-06T07:45:04","slug":"21-billionaires-back-ifeanyi-ubah-for-anambra-2021-guber","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/news\/2021\/03\/06\/21-billionaires-back-ifeanyi-ubah-for-anambra-2021-guber\/","title":{"rendered":"\u201921 billionaires\u2019 back Ifeanyi Ubah for Anambra 2021 guber"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>No fewer than 21 billionaires are said to be backing Ifeanyi Ubah, senator representing Anambra south, for the 2021 governorship election in Anambra state.<\/p>\n<p>The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has fixed <a href=\"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/news\/2021\/01\/31\/anambra-2021-inec-announces-date-for-governorship-election\/\">November 6 for the election<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The coordinator of Project Ifeanyi Ubah 2021, Nonso Collins Ndubuisi, while addressing a press conference, said these billionaires behind the senator do not want to be identified.<\/p>\n<p>Ndubuisi said they want to ensure that the state is taken away from \u201ccareer politicians\u201d who do not have capacity to lead, adding that he has been directed by the group to solicit support for Ubah across the state and ensure that he wins.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThey mandated me to coordinate this group and to work in making sure that voters are galvanized across the 21 local government areas towards ensuring Ifeanyi Ubah wins the forthcoming Anambra election in November,\u201d the coordinator said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIfeanyi Ubah is still the highest employer of labour after the Anambra state government.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHe has about 25,000 employees working in his various companies, all in Anambra state. That Anambra State still features in Nigeria Premier League (NPL) today because we have an Ifeanyi Ubah.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhen you check other candidates in various political parties, you will see that ifeanyi Ubah is miles ahead of them in managing human and material resources.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Speaking on Ubah\u2019s debt to the Asset Management Corporation of Nigeria (AMCON), Ndubuisi said the \u201crumoured issue\u201d is being settled out of court and at the right time the senator will <a href=\"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/news\/2021\/02\/27\/police-recover-firearm-allegedly-stolen-during-endsars-protest-in-anambra\/\">speak<\/a> on it.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIfeanyi Ubah is an astute businessman and a consummate entrepreneur who has successfully managed his businesses.
