He would then go on to spend 40 days in detention before he regained his freedom.<\/p>\n<p>Atulegwe ordeal was connected to allegations of land-grabbing and other related matters.<\/p>\n<p>He was detained at the police headquarters in Owerri, the capital of Imo State.<\/p>\n<p>It was gathered that the sacked commissioner was released after all the investigations by the State CID of the Police Command.<\/p>\n<p>Atulegwu was granted bail to enable him reunite with his family after over a month.<\/p>\n<p>However, a source from Imo Government House, Owerri, who spoke in confidence with newsmen, disclosed that more actions and investigations were ongoing on the matter.<\/p>\n<p>According to the source, he will be called upon immediately after the festive period for more questioning and thereafter charged to a court of competent jurisdiction.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Atulegwe ordeal was connected to allegations of land-grabbing and other related matters.
