Osho explained that the defendant approached the complainant and her sister after they left the supermarket, forcefully taking their cell phones.<\/p>\n<p>According to Osho, the defendant stole an Iphone 12 pro max belonging to the complainant and a Techno camo 10 phone owned by her sister, totaling N820,000.<\/p>\n<p>During police investigation, the defendant&#8217;s explanation lacked credibility, as per Osho.<\/p>\n<p>The alleged act violates the provisions of sections 287 and 327 of the Penal Code.<\/p>\n<p>Despite the charges, the defendant pleaded not guilty.<\/p>\n<p>Judge Aliyu Kagarko granted the defendant bail set at N1 million, requiring one surety of equal amount residing within the court\u2019s jurisdiction and possessing credible means of identification.<\/p>\n<p>The case is adjourned for hearing on Jan. 24.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>During police investigation, the defendant&#8217;s explanation lacked credibility In a session at the Lugbe Grade 1 Area Court in Abuja on Wednesday, a 22-year-old unemployed man named Odoh Ernest faced charges for allegedly snatching two cell phones valued at N820,000.
