{"id":305542,"date":"2024-01-13T15:45:47","date_gmt":"2024-01-13T14:45:47","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/news\/?p=305542"},"modified":"2024-01-13T15:45:47","modified_gmt":"2024-01-13T14:45:47","slug":"our-diesel-aviation-fuel-will-hit-market-this-month-dangote-refinery","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/news\/2024\/01\/13\/our-diesel-aviation-fuel-will-hit-market-this-month-dangote-refinery\/","title":{"rendered":"Our diesel, aviation fuel will hit market this month \u2014 Dangote Refinery"},"content":{"rendered":"<ul>\n<li><strong>The announcement followed the successful delivery of about six million barrels of crude oil to the 650,000 barrels-per-day plant in the past few weeks.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr \/>\n<p>Dangote Refinery says that refined products, particularly diesel and aviation fuel, will be in the market this month (January).<\/p>\n<p>The refinery made the promise while announcing that production had started, with a vow to meet domestic demands.<\/p>\n<p>The announcement followed the successful delivery of about six million barrels of crude oil to the 650,000 barrels-per-day plant in the past few weeks.<\/p>\n<p>Speaking on the readiness of the refinery, the President of Dangote Group, Alhaji Aliko Dangote, thanked President Bola Tinubu for his support, encouragement, and thoughtful advice.<\/p>\n<p>He said: \u201cWe thank President Bola Tinubu for his support and for making our dream come true.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis production, as witnessed today, would not have been possible without his visionary leadership and prompt attention to detail. His intervention at various stages cleared all impediments, thereby accelerating the actualisation of the project.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The company also thanked the Lagos state governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, and other critical stakeholders who have contributed immensely to materialisation of the project.<\/p>\n<p>Recall that the first crude delivery was done on December 12, 2023, and the 6th cargo was delivered on January 8, 2024.<\/p>\n<p>Dangote Refinery is designed for 100% Nigerian crude with the flexibility to process other crudes. It can process most African crude grades as well as Middle Eastern Arab Light.<\/p>\n<p>Even US Light tight oil as well as crude from other countries can be refined.<\/p>\n<p>Also, the refinery can meet 100 percent of Nigeria\u2019s requirements for all refined products \u2014 gasoline, diesel, kerosene, and aviation fuel. It also has a surplus of each of these products for export.<\/p>\n<p>The refinery was built to take crude through its two SPMs located 25 kilometres from the shore. It will discharge petroleum products through three separate SPMs.<\/p>\n<p>SPM is Single Point Mooring System, a floating facility used for storage offshore.<\/p>\n<p>In addition, the refinery can load 2,900 trucks a day at its truck-loading gantries<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The announcement followed the successful delivery of about six million barrels of crude oil to the 650,000 barrels-per-day plant in the past few weeks.
