Hon. Taiwo Olatunbosun has assured residents of Iworoko, Are and Afao Ekiti that the Ekiti Ring Road Phase I project has been restructured to avert demolition of houses in the communities that the construction works would pass by.<\/p>\n<p>Olatunbosun, who gave the assurance in Ado Ekiti, stressed the commitment of the Biodun Oyebanji administration to the general well-being of the people while rapidly developing the State, adding that the state government would not do anything that may jeopardize the economy, peace and tranquility of the people.<\/p>\n<p>He however stressed that the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/news\/2024\/01\/12\/oyebanji-appoints-olowolafe-as-ekiti-varsity-chancellor\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">government<\/a> would not compromise on standards, adding that going by international best practices, a ring road is a road or a series of connected roads encircling a town, city or country.<\/p>\n<p>He emphasized that the most common purpose of a ring road is to assist in reducing traffic volumes in the urban center, such as by offering an alternate route around the city for drivers who do not need to stop in the city core.<\/p>\n<p>According to him, the focus is to develop the State and improve the lot of the people using efficient techniques, methods, processes or technology to contain the waste and keep people and the environment safe.<\/p>\n<p>He solicited the continued support and understanding of all stakeholders, stressing the need for residents of the State to take ownership of projects in their respective domains with the culture of collective responsibility to protect their interests.<\/p>\n<p>In his remarks, the State Commissioner for Works, Mr. Sola Adebayo, assured residents of Iworoko, Are, Afao and other communities along the proposed Ring Road that the restructuring is in their best interest and would not reduce any value accruable to their respective communities.<\/p>\n<p>Adebayo said the road would increase socio-economic activities in the communities and open them up for accelerated development.<\/p>\n<p>Soliciting the support of all stakeholders for the successful completion of the Ring Road project, he stressed that the people\u2019s continuous support for the government\u2019s effort to develop the State is germane to attaining the desired goals.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Solicited the continued support and understanding of all stakeholders Ekiti State Commissioner for Information Rt.
