{"id":310330,"date":"2024-02-15T11:42:08","date_gmt":"2024-02-15T10:42:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/news\/?p=310330"},"modified":"2024-02-15T11:42:08","modified_gmt":"2024-02-15T10:42:08","slug":"oyo-shuts-six-health-facilities-over-quackery","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/news\/2024\/02\/15\/oyo-shuts-six-health-facilities-over-quackery\/","title":{"rendered":"Oyo shuts six health facilities over quackery"},"content":{"rendered":"<ul>\n<li><strong>Urged the public to report any suspicious or illegal activity in any health facility to the Ministry of Health or the nearest security agency<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Oyo State Government on Thursday announced that it has shut down no fever than six health facilities over quackery.<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/news\/2024\/02\/10\/oyo-will-compete-with-lagos-in-12-years-makinde\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">government<\/a> made the pronouncement in a statement made available to newsmen.<\/p>\n<p>The state government said the affected facilities were sealed over various offenses, including recruitment of unqualified personnel to provide medical services and engage in illicit practices.<\/p>\n<p>The affected health facilities include New Jobi Memorial Hospital, Omolara Clinic &amp; Maternity Home, Amazing Grace Medical Clinic; Emiloju Clinic and Maternity Centre, Safeway Clinic and Emilagba clinic and Maternity Centre.<\/p>\n<p>State Antiquackery Task Force Committee Chairman, Dr. Adekunle Aremu, while speaking, said the team carried out the operation as part of the government\u2019s efforts towards protecting the health and well-being of residents.<\/p>\n<p>He added that anyone found culpable would face the full wrath of the law.<\/p>\n<p>He urged the public to report any suspicious or illegal activity in any health facility to the Ministry of Health or the nearest security agency.<\/p>\n<p>He also advised the public to patronize only accredited and registered health facilities in the state, adding that they must ensure only qualified personnel attend to them.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe goals remain clear, Oyo State government is dedicated to upholding rigorous standards and prioritizing the health and safety of every resident.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe government ensures that healthcare services consistently meet the highest benchmarks for quality and safety, so citizens can trust their well-being,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Urged the public to report any suspicious or illegal activity in any health facility to the Ministry of Health or the nearest security agency Oyo State Government on Thursday announced that it has shut down no fever than six health facilities over quackery.
