General of the Federation<\/a> and Minister of Justice, Prince Lateef Fagbemi (SAN), has called upon the judiciary and legislature to reject any endeavours to obstruct the government.<\/p>\n<p>Speaking at the hybrid refresher course for judges and Khadis in Abuja, titled &#8220;Strengthening the Synergy Between the Executive, Legislature, and Judiciary Under the Rule of Law \u2013 Executive Perspective,&#8221; Fagbemi emphasized the importance of upholding the rule of law.<\/p>\n<p>Under the chairmanship of the Chief Justice of Nigeria, Olukayode Ariwoola, the event occurred at the National Judicial Institute (NJI) in Abuja.<\/p>\n<p>Fagbemi, through his media aide, Kamarudeen Ogundele, criticized instances where private individuals attempted to derail government procurement processes or other governmental procedures by seeking spurious injunctions through the courts.<\/p>\n<p>Highlighting the constitutional principle of separation of powers, Fagbemi stressed the importance of each arm of government adhering to its designated functions to prevent arbitrary abuses of power.<\/p>\n<p>He underscored the significance of an independent and efficient court
