enlightenment\u00a0<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr \/>\n<p>The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) says it has arrested 31 motorists on Friday for traffic violations in Delta.<\/p>\n<p>Bassy Eshiet, FRSC state sector commander revealed that it booked eight vehicles for not installing speed limiting device<\/p>\n<p>Eshiet disclosed this at the first sector commander\u2019s special intervention patrol along Asaba-Benin and Asaba-Onitsha highway.<\/p>\n<p>He said that the patrol was following the orders of the Corps Marshal regarding efforts to reduce traffic accidents.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe 2024 patrol was in collaboration with armed policemen from Delta State Police Command to stem the tide of traffic impunity by motorists which can lead to crashes if not checked,&#8221; Eshiet said<\/p>\n<p>\u201cA total of 31 traffic violators were arrested and booked for 42 offences.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAlso, eight vehicles were booked for not installing speed limiting device to regulate their speed, which is one of the major causes of<a href=\"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/news\/2022\/12\/26\/frsc-confiscates-630-vehicles-for-road-traffic-violation-in-oyo\/\"><strong> Road Traffic Crash<\/strong><\/a> in Delta.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOne vehicle for overloading, one vehicle booked for projected load in excess of prescribed limit, while one mini truck carrying goods and passengers was also arrested.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Eshiet said that vital signs of arrested motorists were checked, and the agency engaged offenders in public enlightenment before payment and enforcement with Nigerian Police
