Gen. Christopher Musa, the Chief of Defence Staff (CDS), stated that the military is exerting maximum effort to secure the release of the abducted students in Kuriga, Kaduna State, as well as other victims nationwide.<\/p>\n
Assuring Nigerians, Gen. Musa pledged that the security forces are determined to uncover the perpetrators behind such heinous acts and ensure they face justice.<\/p>\n
He conveyed these assurances during his visit to Governor Uba Sani of Kaduna State at the Government House in Kaduna on Monday, expressing condolences and solidarity with the people affected by the abduction at the Kuriga school.<\/p>\n
\u201cTheir wish is that by the time the state is in rancour, no one will want to invest in the state or the nation at large.<\/p>\n
\u201cThey are working on their own evil plan, but God is on our side and we are working tirelessly to ensure we secure the state, the country, the citizens and most especially to free all the abducted ones,\u201d the CDS added.<\/p>\n
Mr Musa said the military welcomed President Bola Tinubu\u2019s commitment to supporting the armed forces.<\/p>\n
\u201cOn this, we are reassuring you that we are not sleeping. There are many troops coming and we are taking more actions to safeguard and bring the children out safely, as quickly as possible,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n
The CDS said the Armed Forces would not allow them to go through the trauma and feel that they have been neglected.<\/p>\n
\u201cYou, the parents, we know, have been having sleepless nights; we are also experiencing the same. For those individuals who have sworn there will be no peace, they will equally see no peace, and we will follow them anywhere they are.<\/p>\n
\u201cThose who are sponsoring them should stop for their own good. The state cannot be put under the control of anybody; anybody who will stand in the way of getting peace in Nigeria will be brought to book,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
