{"id":317199,"date":"2024-04-02T12:47:04","date_gmt":"2024-04-02T11:47:04","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/news\/?p=317199"},"modified":"2024-04-02T12:47:04","modified_gmt":"2024-04-02T11:47:04","slug":"tcn-alleges-planned-attack-on-zuba-transmission-line","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/news\/2024\/04\/02\/tcn-alleges-planned-attack-on-zuba-transmission-line\/","title":{"rendered":"TCN alleges planned attack on Zuba transmission line"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong><strong>While calling for heightened vigilance in the area, she implored residents to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities around power facilities<\/strong><\/strong><br \/>\n<hr \/>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) has claimed that there are reports of planned attacks on transmission lines in the Zuba area of the FCT.<\/p>\n<p>In a statement, TCN\u2019s General Manager of Public Affairs, Ndidi Mbah, said the alarm was raised following an alert of a planned attack on TCN facilities in Zuba.<\/p>\n<p>While calling for heightened vigilance in the area, she implored residents to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities around power facilities to safeguard the integrity of infrastructure and ensure uninterrupted power supply to all.<\/p>\n<p>She reiterated the company\u2019s commitment to managing Nigeria\u2019s power grid by ensuring grid stability amid ongoing challenges such as the persistent low gas supply affecting power generation into the nation\u2019s grid.<\/p>\n<p>She further said, \u201cOur diligent grid controllers work tirelessly day and night to balance the grid and prevent any kind of disturbance amidst challenges. The recent grid disturbance on March 28, 2024, was promptly managed by our skilled operators, with power restoration achieved in some areas within 21 minutes of the disturbance.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe acknowledge the collaborative efforts of the federal government, particularly the Minister of Power, who has been working hard to address the root causes of low gas supply.
