The Ogun State Government has announced its decision to prohibit the sale of counterfeit imported Adire fabrics within the state.<\/p>\n
Mr. Adebola Sofela, the Commissioner for Industry, Trade, and Investment, made this declaration during the 2nd Annual Business Fair organized by the Rotary Club of Isheri-North, Isheri, on Friday.<\/p>\n
Represented by the ministry\u2019s Director of Industrial Promotion, Kehinde Akintomide, Sofela emphasized the government’s commitment to enact laws safeguarding the authenticity of indigenous fabrics and shielding them from foreign imitations.<\/p>\n
He added that the state government had inaugurated the Modern Adire Shared Facility at Asero and the Ogun Fashion Hub to support Adire business and the fashion industry.<\/p>\n
