Nigeria\u2019s First Lady, Oluremi Tinubu, has enjoined Muslims across the country to exercise moderation and not discard the lessons of Ramadan on the altar of celebrations.<\/p>\n
She revealed this in her maiden Eid-el-Fitr message as First Lady to end the month of Ramadan.<\/p>\n
The statement signed by her Senior Special Assistant on Media, Mrs. Busola Kukoyi, conveyed the Eid message in on Wednesday titled \u2018H.E Senator Oluremi Tinubu, felicitates Muslims.\u2019<\/p>\n
Kukoyi noted that the First Lady rejoiced with Muslims in Nigeria on the completion of the holy month of Ramadan.<\/p>\n
She also enjoined Muslims to sustain the good deeds exhibited during the month, asserting that Ramadan is a period of reformation and the teachings of how to live a selfless and godly life.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe lessons learnt during the one month of fasting should not be eroded on the altar of celebration.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe should be modest in our celebration and continue to extend love to others. Our kindness to one another and service to humanity should extend beyond the month of Ramadan.<\/p>\n
\u201cLet us sustain those virtues of self-purification, sacrifice, self-discipline, and being compassionate to fellow Nigerians. Our priority as a people should include praying for our nation,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
