The Katsina State government has closed three filling stations suspected of providing petrol to bandits.<\/p>\n
The shutdown was executed by the task force responsible for addressing grain hoarding and unjustified food price increases.<\/p>\n
Speaking to reporters after the closures, Task Force Chairman Jabiru Salisu Tsauri, who also serves as the Chief of Staff to the governor, stated that the committee has the authority to detain suspects for up to 48 hours before beginning legal proceedings.<\/p>\n
The committee said it received an intel that the affected petrol stations were involved in supplying fuel to bandits during nighttime and early morning hours.<\/p>\n
However, one of the affected businessmen refuted the accusations, asserting that they operated their business with caution and would not engage in activities that could endanger the state\u2019s security.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
