The Federal Government has extended its heartfelt condolences to the family of 14-year-old Daniel Anjorin, who tragically lost his life in a sword attack in London on Tuesday.<\/p>\n
Abike Dabiri-Erewa, the Chairman of the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission, expressed deep sorrow over the incident, describing it as “unfortunate, sad, and gruesome.”<\/p>\n
In a statement released by NiDCOM spokesperson, Abdur-Rahman Balogun, Dabiri-Erewa conveyed her sympathies to the bereaved family and the Nigerian communities in the UK. She also offered prayers for the soul of young Daniel, whose life abruptly ended on Tuesday.<\/p>\n
She maintained optimism that decisive actions would be taken to ensure that the culprit, who is already in police custody, receives appropriate punishment, the statement added.<\/p>\n
Anjorin is a student at Bancroft\u2019s private school in Woodford Green.<\/p>\n
The school in a statement on Wednesday said that they had been left in \u201cprofound shock and sorrow\u201d at the pupil\u2019s death.<\/p>\n
\u201cHe was a true scholar, demonstrating commendable dedication to his academic pursuits. His positive nature and gentle character will leave a lasting impact on us,\u201d Bancroft\u2019s, in Woodford Green, near Hainault, said.<\/p>\n
The suspect, Marcus Aurelio Arduini Monzo, appeared before the court facing charges related to Anjorin\u2019s murder.<\/p>\n
