The Nigeria Customs Service Board (NCSB) has confirmed the appointment of five Deputy Comptrollers-General (DCGs) and eight Assistant Comptrollers-General (ACGs) of Customs.<\/p>\n
This was contained in a statement signed by Abdullahi Maiwada, Chief Superintendent of Customs
\nNational Public Relations Officer on Wednesday.<\/p>\n
According to the statement, the appointment occurred during the Board’s 59th regular meeting, chaired by the Honorable Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister for the Economy, Mr. Wale Edun on Tuesday in Abuja.<\/p>\n
The newly confirmed Deputy Comptrollers-General are; OO Peters, DCG\/Commander Training and Doctrine Command (rtd), BM Jibo, DCG, EEnforcement Inspection and Investigation, BU Nwanfor, DCG, Excise, Free Trade Zone and Industrial Incentives, SA Bomai, DCG, Commander Training and Doctrine Command, CK Niagwan, DCG, Tariff and Trade.<\/p>\n
The newly confirmed Assistant Comptrollers-General are; B Imam, ACG, Board, AAS Oloyede, ACG, Trade & Tariff, SK Dangaldima, ACG\/Zonal Coordinator Zone \u2018B\u2019, A Abdul Azeez, ACG\/Zonal Coordinator Zone \u2018D\u2019, SA Yusuf, ACG Human Resource Development, NP Umoh, ACG Training and Doctrine Command, CO Obih, ACG\/Zonal Coordinator Zone \u2018C\u2019 and S. Chiroma, ACG, Strategic Research and Policy.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe appointments were made to fill vacancies left by the recent retirement of several senior officers.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe NCSB emphasized that the principles of federal character, seniority, and merit were strictly adhered to in the approval process.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe new appointments are a testament to the officers\u2019 exemplary services and dedication to the Nigeria Customs Service,\u201d the statement added.<\/p>\n
The Comptroller General of Customs, Bashir Adewale Adeniyi, expressed his gratitude to the retired officers for their service and congratulated the newly confirmed officers.<\/p>\n
