On Thursday, over N500 million naira was distributed to more than 5,000 Deltans as business grants.<\/p>\n
State Governor Sheriff Oborevweri presented the cheques to the beneficiaries during the launch of the MORE Grant Scheme in Asaba.<\/p>\n
He stated that the initiative is a comprehensive support system designed to empower 5,426 Deltans.<\/p>\n
According to Oborevweri, the beneficiaries include 1,600 petty traders, 1,826 artisans, and 2,000 female entrepreneurs across the state, each receiving between N100,000 and N150,000.<\/p>\n
He said, \u201cYour hard work, creativity and perseverance are the driving force behind the vibrancy and resilience of our local communities. As we recognize your invaluable contributions, I reaffirm the state government\u2019s commitment and willingness to support your endeavours.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe MORE Grant Scheme represents a beacon of hope and a catalyst for positive change, as the programme provides critical resources that will help you scale up your businesses, and improve your livelihoods.<\/p>\n

\u201cAs a show of faith, the MORE Grant Scheme will continue to provide you with the financial assistance necessary to improve your businesses, as we remain committed to turning small ventures into flourishing enterprises, thereby improving the quality of life of our people and contributing to the economic growth of our state.\u201d<\/p>\n
