The National Orientation Agency has instructed Community Orientation and Mobilisation Officers across the 774 Local Government Areas to learn the new national anthem by June 3.<\/p>\n
In a statement released on Thursday by Paul Odenyi, the agency’s Deputy Director of Press, Director-General Lanre Issa-Onilu said this initiative is part of efforts to ensure a smooth transition to the new anthem.<\/p>\n
Issa-Onilu explained that this directive is part of a national identity project aimed at promoting national cohesion, unity, and patriotism.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe COMOS are the agency\u2019s lead officers in the local governments, whose roles are primarily to enlighten citizens at the grassroots level of government policies, programmes and activities. NOA is also working closely with the Nigerian Union of Teachers to ensure that schools across the country are mobilised to start using the current national anthem.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe are excited to embark on this new chapter in our national history.
