While acknowledging the new law&#8217;s benefits, the committee emphasized the need for strong political will to enforce it.<\/p>\n<p>The CCC highlighted the importance of incentivizing good corporate governance and strict compliance with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/news\/2021\/03\/23\/maritime-academy-distances-self-from-cultist-who-claimed-to-be-a-final-year-student-of-the-institution\/\">maritime<\/a> laws. They also urged the government to penalize infractions to serve as a deterrent.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;It is contradictory to allow law violators in the maritime sector to go unpunished while those who
