Adetokunbo Fayemiwo, gave the directive at the 1 Division Finance Training Week 2024 in Kaduna.<\/p>\n<p>Fayemiwo emphasized the importance of rendering financial services to all Nigerian Army personnel, units, and formations at the right time and place.<\/p>\n<p>The training week, themed &#8220;Enhancing Capacity and Skills of 1 Division Finance Officers\/Clerks,&#8221; aims to update personnel on contemporary government financial policies and best practices.<\/p>\n<p>Fayemiwo stressed that the duties and responsibilities of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/news\/2024\/06\/04\/smugglers-exchange-fire-with-customs-army-in-lagos\/\"><strong>Nigerian Army Finance Corps<\/strong><\/a> are central to the army&#8217;s performance and effectiveness.<\/p>\n<p>He encouraged participants to actively engage in the training sessions to derive maximum benefit.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cTo ensure this, I have made it mandatory for all Nigerian Army Finance personnel to be adequately trained to carry out their duties at all levels,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>Fayemiwo explained that training is one of the pillars of the Chief of Army Staff Command Philosophy, which is \u201cTo Transform the Nigerian Army into a Well-trained, Equipped and Highly Motivated Force Towards Joint Environment.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>According to him, the division\u2019s finance training week was designed to address the training needs of Finance officers and soldiers at the division level.<\/p>\n<p>Fayemiwo said, \u201dIt will provide a good platform for updating personnel on contemporary government financial policies, financial best practices and their implications on accounting for Nigerian Army funds.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis training week will focus on enhancing the capacity of 1 Division Finance personnel in rendering professional and efficient financial services to the Nigerian Army.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He added that the duties and responsibilities of the Nigerian Army Finance Corps were central to the performance and effectiveness of the Nigerian Army both in war and peace times.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIn pursuit of my training objectives for Year 2024, I directed all Division Finance Offices to conduct a Division Finance training week to address the training needs of their personnel,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>The finance chief enjoined all the participants to be actively involved in the training sessions to derive maximum benefit from it.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Fayemiwo said the division\u2019s finance training week was designed to address the training needs of Finance officers and soldiers at the division level.
