Erondu, said that the defendant committed the offences on May 7 at Mushin area of Lagos.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><b>Erondu said that Ishola was found in possession of 500g of cannabis and 0.9 litres of codeine, which was unlawful.<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr \/>\n<p>The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) on Tuesday said it has arraigned a 29-year-old man, Michael Ishola.<\/p>\n<p>Michael Ishola before a Federal High Court in Lagos over alleged drug trafficking.<\/p>\n<p>The defendant is facing a two-count charge bordering on illegal dealing in 500g of cannabis and 0.9 litres of codeine.<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/news\/2024\/06\/10\/ndlea-intercepts-175000-bottles-of-codeine-shipment-from-india\/\"><strong>NDLEA<\/strong><\/a> Prosecutor, Ms N.J. Erondu, said that the defendant committed the offences on May 7 at Mushin area of Lagos.<\/p>\n<p>Erondu said that Ishola was found in possession of 500g of cannabis and 0.9 litres of codeine, which was unlawful.<\/p>\n<p>She said the drugs, which were later recovered from him, had been classified as psychotropic substances, similar to cocaine and heroin.<\/p>\n<p>According to the prosecutor, the offences contravene the provisions of Section 11(c) of the NDLEA Act, Cap N30, Laws of the Federation, 2004.<\/p>\n<p>No date has, however, been fixed for arraignment of the suspect.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The NDLEA Prosecutor, Ms N.J.
