{"id":333638,"date":"2024-08-04T15:04:43","date_gmt":"2024-08-04T14:04:43","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/news\/?p=333638"},"modified":"2024-08-04T15:04:43","modified_gmt":"2024-08-04T14:04:43","slug":"hardship-fg-release-n570-billion-to-states-tinubu","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/news\/2024\/08\/04\/hardship-fg-release-n570-billion-to-states-tinubu\/","title":{"rendered":"Hardship: FG Releases N570 billion To States \u2013 Tinubu"},"content":{"rendered":"<ul>\n<li><strong>The President also said his administration had demonstrated its commitment to the youth by creating the student loan and other youth friendly policies<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr \/>\n<p>President <a href=\"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/news\/2024\/08\/04\/hardship-halt-protest-lets-dialogue-tinubu-begs-nigerians\/\">Bola Ahmed Tinubu<\/a> has disclosed that his administration has gave over N570 billion to the 36 states to expand livelihood support to citizens across the country.<\/p>\n<p>Tinubu made the disclosure in his nationwide broadcast to Nigerians on Sunday.<\/p>\n<p>The President also said his administration had demonstrated its commitment to the youth by creating the student loan and other youth friendly policies.<\/p>\n<p>Many Nigerians, especially the youths, have been protesting against the policies of the present administration, asking President Tinubu to reverse his policy on fuel Subsidy.<\/p>\n<p>But in his broadcast, the President said various measures have been put in place to address the prevailing hardship in the country.<\/p>\n<p>He said: \u201cwe have secured $620million under the Digital and Creative Enterprises (IDiCE) \u2013 a programme to empower our young people, creating millions of IT and technical jobs that will make them globally competitive.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThese programmes include the 3Million Technical Talents scheme. Unfortunately, one of the digital centres was vandalised during the protests in Kano. What a shame!<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIn addition, we have introduced the Skill-Up Artisans Programme (SUPA); the Nigerian Youth Academy (NIYA); and the National Youth Talent Export Programme (NATEP).<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAlso, more than N570 billion has been released to the 36 states to expand livelihood support to their citizens, while 600,000 nano-businesses have benefitted from our nano-grants. An additional 400,000 more nano-businesses are expected to benefit.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cFurthermore, 75,000 beneficiaries have been processed to receive our N1million Micro and Small Business single-digit interest loans, starting this month. We have also built 10 MSME hubs within the past year, created 240,000 jobs through them and 5 more hubs are in progress which will be ready by October this year.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The president\u2019s remarks comes after Governor Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa State urged Nigerians to ask their governors how they were spending improved revenue from the federal government.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cInstead of just looking at the federal government, let the people hold every state governor responsible. What are you doing with the improved revenue you are getting?
