This refinery will drive growth, development, and prosperity by providing energy to our people,&#8221; Dangote stated<\/p>\n<p>He also commended Tinubu for the &#8220;Naira for crude, Naira for product&#8221; initiative, which he believes will stabilize the Naira by reducing dollar demand by 40%.<\/p>\n<p>The 650,000 bpd capacity facility began operations in January, producing diesel and aviation fuel.<\/p>\n<p>Dangote said that the petrol from the plant can rival international products in terms of quality.<\/p>\n<p>On August 22, Dangote Petroleum Refinery announced it was conducting test runs for petrol production, with full operations expected to commence by mid-September.<\/p>\n<p>The production start had been delayed multiple times between May and August.<\/p>\n<p>On Sunday, the Nigerian National Petroleum Company (NNPC) Limited <a href=\"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/news\/2024\/09\/02\/we-can-no-longer-guarantee-constant-fuel-supply-nnpc\/\"><strong>acknowledged<\/strong><\/a> its debt to petrol suppliers, impacting its ability to maintain a steady fuel supply, resulting in persistent queues and a 45% price increase since July.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The 650,000 bpd capacity facility began operations in January, producing diesel and aviation fuel.
