The refinery started operations last December with a capacity of 350,000 barrels per day.<\/p>\n<p>In a press briefing, Dangote emphasized that the petrol from his refinery would meet high international standards, ensuring that vehicles run smoothly without the engine issues often caused by lower-quality fuels.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe quality here will match that of anywhere in the world, including the US. We will ensure that our product is unmatched in terms of quality,\u201d Dangote stated.<\/p>\n<p>He also noted that the refinery is in the final stages of discussions with the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL), after which the petrol will be available in the market.<\/p>\n<p>Dangote highlighted the refinery&#8217;s broader economic benefits, including contributing to industrial and manufacturing growth, reducing import dependence, saving foreign exchange, stabilizing the naira, and helping to curb inflation and living costs.<\/p>\n<p>The Dangote Refinery, which faced initial regulatory challenges, aims to reach its full production capacity of 650,000 barrels per day by the end of the year.
