The Commission wishes to state that Bello is not in its custody.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBello, already declared wanted by the Commission for alleged N80.2billion money laundering charges, remains wanted with a subsisting warrant for his arrest.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The commission declared Bello <a href=\"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/news\/2024\/04\/18\/breaking-efcc-declares-yahaya-bello-wanted\/\"><strong>wanted<\/strong><\/a> after several attempts to arrest him proved unsuccessful.<\/p>\n<p>On August 20, the court of appeal in Abuja ordered Bello to surrender himself for arraignment.<\/p>\n<p>Dele Oyewale, EFCC spokesperson, had said the court\u2019s ruling was a \u201cvindication\u201d of the EFCC\u2019s stance that Bello must face trial.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Earlier the former governor Media office said he has honoured the invitation of the Economic and Financial Crimes.
