Gabriel Abegunrin, has called on the Federal Government to permit Dangote Refinery to sell petrol directly to marketers.<\/p>\n<p>He made this statement during a press briefing in Ibadan on Wednesday, marking his 75th birthday.<\/p>\n<p>Abegunrin suggested that allowing <a href=\"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/news\/2021\/06\/16\/dangote-understands-nigerians-better-than-most-politicians-says-bala-mohammed\/\">Aliko Dangote<\/a>, owner of Dangote Refinery, to set petrol prices and sell directly to marketers would help reduce consumers&#8217; fuel costs.<\/p>\n<p>He argued that this would be more effective than relying on the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC).<\/p>\n<p>In addition to his comments on fuel, the Archbishop urged all levels of government to prioritize the security of lives and property.<\/p>\n<p>He also encouraged Nigerian youth to turn away from vices and pursue self-employment opportunities through skills development.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThere are jobs available, but youths can also use their skills to work, farm, and create opportunities for themselves,\u201d Abegunrin said.<\/p>\n<p>Rev. Fr. Richard Omolade, a priest from the diocese, also spoke at the event, praising Abegunrin for his dedication to the Catholic Church and his service to the people of Oyo State and Nigeria.<\/p>\n<p>He described the Archbishop as a role model, especially for the youth, and highlighted his commitment to guiding them in the right path.<\/p>\n<p>Fr. Omolade further acknowledged the contributions of Abegunrin&#8217;s predecessor, Most Rev.
