{"id":343928,"date":"2024-10-31T14:50:16","date_gmt":"2024-10-31T13:50:16","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/news\/?p=343928"},"modified":"2024-10-31T14:50:16","modified_gmt":"2024-10-31T13:50:16","slug":"uba-sani-approves-n72000-as-new-minimum-wage-for-kaduna-civil-servants","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/news\/2024\/10\/31\/uba-sani-approves-n72000-as-new-minimum-wage-for-kaduna-civil-servants\/","title":{"rendered":"Uba Sani approves N72,000 as new minimum wage for Kaduna civil servants"},"content":{"rendered":"<ul>\n<li><strong>The buses will convey civil servants to and from work, noting that this is aimed at alleviating the suffering of workers and enhancing their productivity.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>In July, President Bola Tinubu approved a new minimum wage of 70,000.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr \/>\n<p>Uba Sani, governor of Kaduna, has approved N72,000 as the new minimum wage for civil servants in the state.<\/p>\n<p>Ibrahim Musa, chief press secretary to the state governor announced the development in a statement on Thursday.<\/p>\n<p>Musa said the new pay package is effective from November 2024, adding that the decision is in line with his administration\u2019s commitment to the advancement of the interests of workers.<\/p>\n<p>The governor stressed on improvement in the living conditions of the poor, vulnerable and underserved in Kaduna state.<\/p>\n<p>Sani expressed is dedication to advancing workers&#8217; rights boosting their welfare, and supporting vulnerable citizens, reflecting is long life commitment to social justice and equality<\/p>\n<p>Additionally, the statement said <a href=\"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/news\/2024\/07\/05\/to-address-gaps-in-healthcare-uba-sani-introduces-human-resources-for-health-policy-in-kaduna\/\"><strong>Governor Uba Sani<\/strong><\/a> is set to launch a Free Transportation Scheme for civil servants with the release of 100 CNG buses.<\/p>\n<p>The buses, according to Governor Sani\u2019s spokesman, will convey civil servants to and from work, noting that this is aimed at alleviating the suffering of workers and enhancing their productivity.<\/p>\n<p>The statement added that a Joint Management Committee consisting of representatives of organized labour (NLC and TUC) and the State Government will be set up to manage the Free Transportation Scheme for civil servants.<\/p>\n<p>The Kaduna State Government will continue to fashion and implement policies and measures to bring succour to the people. We are committed to transforming the lives of the less privileged.
