They also face charges of providing false statements during the investigation, a violation under the Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Act.<\/p>\n<p>Both defendants pleaded not guilty to the six charges against them, which include conspiracy and forgery, punishable under the Sokoto State Penal Code.<\/p>\n<p>Their defence counsels, Dr Muhammad Aliyu and Mr M.S. Diri, successfully applied for bail.
