href=\"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/news\/2023\/07\/21\/fuel-subsidy-tinubu-told-to-prioritise-palliatives-tackle-insecurity\/\"> Nigeria\u2019s fuel crisis. <\/a><\/p>\n<p>Speaking at a press conference in Abuja, Kailani claimed that those pushing for Kyari\u2019s removal are motivated by monopolistic interests to undermine recent oil sector reforms.<\/p>\n<p>Kailani argued that these interests are similar to those that control other sectors, such as cement, and warned that their influence in oil and gas would hurt already strained Nigerians.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis protest is a calculated attempt by monopolistic forces to derail Kyari\u2019s reform efforts,\u201d he remarked, adding that these actions distract from the real challenges in the sector.<\/p>\n<p>He called on Nigerians, particularly the youth, to support Kyari\u2019s initiatives and promote unity and constructive dialogue around oil industry issues.<\/p>\n<p>Highlighting Kyari&#8217;s achievements, Kailani noted the strides made in transparency, efficiency, and accountability within the oil sector, all aligning with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu\u2019s Renewed Hope Agenda.<\/p>\n<p>Under Kyari&#8217;s leadership, the 2021 Petroleum Industry Act (PIA) has been implemented, transforming NNPCL from a loss-making entity into a profitable corporation.<\/p>\n<p>Kailani also pointed to the TAPE agenda\u2014initiatives targeting regions like the Upper Benue Trough and Gongola Basin\u2014as an example of Kyari\u2019s commitment to advancing Nigeria\u2019s energy security and economic
