Officials say the reopening follows the end of the rainy season.<\/p>\n<p>Abdulrahman Mohammed, acting head of the FCT Emergency Management Department, said the closure has helped prevent fatalities in the area since 2020.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe road floods every year, but closing it has saved lives. We thank residents for their understanding,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>As dry season sets in, authorities are also stepping up fire safety campaigns to reduce incidents of bushfires and domestic blazes.
