Alausa added that President Tinubu\u2019s <em>Renewed Hope Agenda<\/em> relies heavily on local <a href=\"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/news\/2024\/11\/11\/tinubu-urges-nigerian-universities-to-focus-on-research-for-development\/\">research and technological advancements<\/a>, stressing that economic progress is impossible without effectively utilizing research outputs.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis Research Fair seeks to promote collaboration among research and technology agencies to accelerate their contributions to nation-building,\u201d the minister stated.<\/p>\n<p>Alausa also emphasized plans better to coordinate research and innovation institutions across various ministries to ensure their efforts have maximum impact.<\/p>\n<p>He noted that the National Research Fund will be strengthened with resources from the public, private, and international sectors. This support will empower researchers, engineers, and innovators to develop solutions to critical national issues such as energy, healthcare, agriculture, water supply, and communications.<\/p>\n<p>Expressing satisfaction with TETFund\u2019s efforts, the minister praised Nigeria\u2019s wealth of academic institutions, intellectual professionals, and natural resources.
