These efforts ensure uninterrupted electricity supply on key streets throughout the night.<\/p>\n<p>Speaking on Monday, Solomon Kwamanga, Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Information, highlighted the state\u2019s shift toward renewable energy, aligning with global trends. He noted that Adamawa\u2019s abundant sunlight makes solar energy the most viable alternative for power generation.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSolar power is cheaper and more flexible to maintain. Based on our current resources, the state is comfortable with the solar power system project,\u201d Kwamanga told Punch.<\/p>\n<p>The project, already underway, includes installations at Adamawa Television, the Adamawa Publishing Company, schools, and other institutions.<\/p>\n<p>Regarding the Kiri Dam 35MW electricity project, initially introduced by the administration of Murtala Nyako, Kwamanga acknowledged that the state currently lacks the resources to pursue it alone. He called on the federal government to collaborate on the project, emphasizing its potential benefits.<\/p>\n<p>Complementing the state government\u2019s efforts, Senator Binos Yeroe of the People\u2019s Democratic Party (PDP), representing Adamawa\u2019s Southern Zone, recently trained over 250 individuals on solar power installation and repair.
