proposed tax reforms have sparked widespread debate, particularly among northern leaders, who argue that the measures could further impoverish the region.<\/p>\n<p>In response to the controversies, the LND announced the inauguration of a technical committee tasked with conducting a detailed clause-by-clause review of the proposed legislation.<\/p>\n<p>In a statement on Friday, the group&#8217;s spokesman, Dr. Ladan Salihu, emphasized that the initiative aims to ensure that the laws reflect justice, equity, and prosperity for all Nigerians while safeguarding the developmental interests of the northern region.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cThe committee, composed of dedicated Northern experts in law, public accounting, legislation, and academia, will spend one week to conclude a comprehensive
